Subject: Ryu Kon Kai Kobudo
Bo,sai,tuifa,nunchaku,tekko,kama,eku.

Sunshi no kon,Choun no kon,Sakugawa no kon,Tsuken no eku or bo.
Because most of the participants will be traveling from all parts of the U.S. and Canada, you may bring whatever kobudo weapons you want to train with. You may want to arrive a few days earlier and go to Shurido to purchase authentic Okinawan (very expensive but worth it) weapons. Shurido is located in Orange County and is about an hour drive from Oceanside. You may want to order a cheap working bo or rattan bo in advance and have Shureido deliver to my house.

Equipment needed:
Uniform with Isshin-ryu crest or other.
Weapons: Bo (working bo), eku (a bo can be used if you don’t have a paddle),sai, tuifa, kama, tekko (brass knuckles type). WARNING. Brass knuckles are a felony in California and some other states (Canada?). You may not want to take the chance. What ever you do, don’t bring them on as carry on.

Video taping and photos will be allowed.

Since the majority of the participants will be Isshin-ryu stylists, feel free to wear your Megami Crest on your karate gi. If you are in another style, wear your own crest.

A change in plans. The following may be changed. Sensei Iha will be returning to Okinawa about the October 24. He will have to go back because of a tournament.

After the seminar on Tuesday, October 25, we will be going to Las Vegas, Nevada. About Five hours drive from Oceanside. Those that want to meet in Las Vegas. I will be staying in the Excalibur Hotel for at least two nights. On Wednessday, October 25, we may see a different show.
